Why is it when you have two boys close to the same age, teaching them is so diffucult at
times? The oldest you just sit him down and show him what you want done and he does it with little trubble. But the younger one sits there like a knot on a log saying I cant with out trying. Ive tried diffrent medeums to write in like colored sand and salt, shaving cream, mud, dirt. With all that I might get him to sort of right his name. I've used diffirent types of pens, pencile, crayons, sidewalk chalk, finger paint with the same results " I can't" I have made him one problem worksheets thinking that to much on the page is overwhelming him but still a no go. Its like pulling teeth to get him to even try. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

The only thing would be to show consequences for not trying. Hard I know. But with Braden if he sees Brittney get to play a video game and he doesnt get to and I stick with it and that day I don't give in and finally let him do it then the next day it is much easier and gets easier. Just making it fun and mixing it up but first and foremost is the knowing that he has to and that is with consequences and follow thru and it is hard believe me Brae is a stinker of upmost.
